Hi, I'm Nyncke, the heart and hands behind Sylckes.
I live in the heart of the Netherlands, in Utrecht, where my workshop is nestled in my garden and all the magic of jewelry making happens.
I've been crafting since childhood, always creating, drawing, knitting, beading, and more. It was no surprise that went to study gold and silversmithing at the Vakschool in Schoonhoven.
After finishing in 1997, I started my own goldsmith business in Utrecht, working with Ex Parte, a shop featuring over 150 European jewelry designers.
Inspiration
Nature is my biggest muse. I’m captivated by the beauty of trees, flowers, shells, plants, and even insects.
There’s so much beauty to be discovered when we take a closer look!
In 2015, I returned to my passion for creating, building a workshop in my garden. It’s here that I discovered my love for not just metal, but porcelain clay too—bringing this beautiful material into my designs.
